1. What did the mother think as she lay sleepless in the bed?
Ans. As mother lay sleepless in the bed she thought that while dealing with stranger in the earlier of the day she showed some countacy. But later that day when she dealt with her daughter she abused her own child whom she loved more.
2. According to you, why shouldn’t we hurt the feelings of others?
Ans. We should always respect the feelings of others. We should also take care not to hurt them with our behaviour. We should show some common courtesy to others.
3. Pick out any two pairs of rhyming words from this extract.
Ans. bed - said; use - abuse.
4. What kind of poem is this? What is its purpose?
Ans. This is a narrative and reflective poem. It’s purpose is to bring back some common courtesy to our dear and lovable ones. This poem advices us to show respect to our own family members also.
